Preview and adjust framing

Once the Tikee mini S is installed using the supplied stainless steel mounting arm and mounting kit, live preview displays the camera’s view before the time-lapse begins. This gives you time to adjust its position and confirm the composition before recording starts. The 149° diagonal and 124° horizontal field of view cover a broad area, while True View provides 120°, 110° or 90° perspectives when the project requires a narrower view without distortion. Portrait and landscape rotation settings give you further control over how the site is framed.

Record 4K detail in changing light

The Tikee mini S uses a Sony sensor to record 4K resolution with 50% more pixels than standard 4K, retaining fine detail as activity develops across the frame. A minimum focusing distance of 1m keeps subjects clear from one metre through to infinity, covering both relatively close activity and wider site views. When light falls, Low Light Mode helps capture in darker conditions. White Balance Lock maintains consistent colour between frames, preventing white-balance changes from affecting the appearance of a longer sequence.

Schedule long-term capture

Daylight auto scheduling adjusts the shooting schedule according to the sun’s natural rhythm, so capture timing follows changing daylight hours throughout the project. Multiple shooting modes provide settings for different project requirements, while Ready to Capture automatically begins recording once setup is complete. The built-in battery provides up to four months of operation at a ten-minute interval, with an external solar panel or the included Tikee charger providing alternative power sources.

Remote monitoring

4G/LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity provide remote access to images and data, reducing the need to visit an installation simply to check its progress. Instant camera status provides current information about the unit remotely, while the myTikee cloud platform manages multiple cameras in groups through live fleet management. When a still image does not provide enough information, unlimited on-demand live streaming provides a real-time video view of the monitored site. Built-in A-GPS also provides the camera’s location.

Storage and installation

The compact body suits installations with limited mounting space, while IP66 construction supports indoor and outdoor placement in exposed conditions. The Pack includes a 256GB MicroSD card for storage, while the camera supports cards up to 1TB, providing capacity for up to 128,000 JPEG images or 30,000 DNG images at maximum capacity. A supplied anti-theft cable adds security once the camera is installed, while the carrying case keeps the camera and accessories together between installations. The Tikee mini S is also compatible with the full Tikee accessory range, providing access to additional accessories for different installation and power requirements.
