The ATL-201 has exactly the same specs as its bigger brother, the ATL-200, but drops the optical zoom and PIR motion sensor capabilities. Most importantly, you still get the same great image quality, but at a more economic price point.
If you plan to record projects such as construction, landscaping, vistas and panoramas, the ATL-201 model is the model for you. Its wide angle 100° fixed lens is perfect for capturing any subject from approx 1m away, all the way up to infinity. This camera is even easier to use than its big brother model as you don't have to worry about focusing your subject. You can just set the camera, hit record, and go!
Another versatile feature of the larger f0.95 lens is its ability to capture great night-time, low light, time-lapse projects. This camera operates in all but the very lowest light levels.
Setup and operation of the camera is still done using the same easy-to-use iOS, or Android, App for your phone / tablet device. You can change all manner of capture settings including, interval, recording modes, exposure, time stamp, plus many more. You can also set your own weekly shoot schedule if you only want to record, say, the working week from 9to5.
If you do not need to do Macro (close-up) time lapse recordings, or would never use the PIR motion sensor for recording wildlife, then the ATL-201 is perfect for your needs. If you do need to do these types of recording, you should really purchase the other model, the Afidus ATL-200.
